Jian Yang, Ph.D.

Jian graduated from Michigan State University, studying a member (PFL-AE) of the Radical SAM Superfamily. Enzymes in this superfamily all contain a prosthetic [4Fe-4S] cluster , which is capable of reducing S-Adenosyl methionine (SAM) to generate high-energy carbon radical intermediates for many biosyntheses. Currently, drug delivery has risen up to be his greatest interest. He hopes that we can make vaults the ideal drug delivery vehicle. In addition, Jian likes all types of sports, especially water-related sports such as swimming. He is also a true believer of Gaia, supporting everything on earth to live together peacefully.
