Jan Mrazek, Ph.D.

Jan is a postdoc in our lab and is working to package siRNA into the vault particle, with the ultimate goal of exploring vaults as an improved siRNA delivery nanocapsule in vivo. He earned his master's degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague. His doctorate in Genetics and Genomics was completed in 2008 at Innsbruck Medical University in Austria. His Ph.D. work addressed the identification and functional characterization of ncRNAs in EBV infected cells, and we are hoping to use his RNA expertice now in the Rome lab!
