Senior Policy Analyst
Leila Espinosa works on the All Children Thrive initiative and the UCLA Child and Family Health Leadership Training Program.
Prior to joining the Center, she served as a Senior Analyst at the Consortium on Reading Excellence (CORE) located in Emeryville, CA. While there, she focused on school reform and education policy, supporting implementation of a school reform model that focuses on improving the knowledge and skills of educators in teaching literacy and math. She coordinated the organization’s research and evaluation efforts, leading program evaluations of school-based literacy initiatives, observing classrooms, and surveying teachers in their practice. She also trained teachers in conducting curriculum-based assessments and understanding assessment data for monitoring student progress.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology at UCLA and a master’s degree in Public Policy at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs with a concentration in education policy.
