Open Postdoc Position

Postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. April Pyle at the University of California Los Angeles. Research is focused on improving our understanding of skeletal muscle progenitor cell differentiation from human pluripotent stem cells. Development of reprogramming, differentiation and in vitro and in vivo analysis of skeletal muscle cells are key components of the NIH funded research project. Research will also include evaluation and development of differentiation, correction and screening platforms using Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) human induced pluripotent stem cells.

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have excellent training in tissue culture, cell analysis and molecular biology techniques. Previous experience with human pluripotent stem cells and skeletal muscle progenitor cells is highly desirable.

To apply, please provide a CV, a brief description of research interests and career goals in a cover letter, and contact information for three references with your application. Salary is commensurate with experience (NIH level) and the position will include standard benefits. Please send materials to apyle@mednet.ucla.edu.
